About Cudmore's Cab

A new chapter in accessible transportation for Prince Edward Island — built on five decades of community service.

Our Story

Built on 50 Years of Accessible Transportation

Cudmore's Cab is operated by Pat & The Elephant, a not-for-profit accessible transportation organization founded in Charlottetown, PEI in 1975 by Patricia Rogers P.C., C.D.

For over 50 years, Pat & The Elephant has served physically challenged Islanders and visitors — providing pre-booked wheelchair and stretcher transportation to appointments, schools, hospitals, and community destinations.

Cudmore's Cab builds on that legacy by adding something new: on-demand taxi service — so that people with disabilities can travel spontaneously, safely, and with dignity, just like everyone else.
